Cold weather is here, and Platinum Healthcare wants to remind our patients, families, and neighbors to take extra precautions during icy conditions.

Freezing temperatures, snow, and ice can be tough on everyone — especially those with hypertension, arthritis, breathing problems, or mobility issues. Our home health team is checking in to make sure our patients stay safe, warm, and cared for through the winter weather.

🧣 Cold Weather Safety Tips:

✅ Stay indoors and avoid icy walkways whenever possible.

✅ Dress in layers and keep your home comfortably warm.

✅ Drink plenty of fluids — dehydration can still happen in cold weather.

✅ Keep your medications stocked and easy to access.

✅ Notify your nurse if you notice swelling, shortness of breath, or higher blood pressure.

Our nurses and caregivers will continue visiting as safely as possible — providing compassionate care, no matter the forecast.
