We’re continuing our Meet the Team series by introducing one of the newest members of Oasis Physical Therapy!

🌟 Today We’re Introducing: Leiah 🌟

Hey there! I’m Leiah, one of the newest friendly faces at the front desk here at Oasis Physical Therapy. I just joined the team last week, and I’m already so excited to be welcoming patients in, getting you checked in, and keeping things running smoothly so our amazing therapists can focus on what they do best: caring for you! 🌿

What I love most about Oasis so far is the strong sense of community. It’s such a privilege to watch patients come in on their very first day and then see their confidence and strength grow over time. Being part of that transformation, even in a small way, is so rewarding. ✨

Outside of work, you can usually find me reading, hiking, exploring new coffee shops, or spending time with my fiancée and our cat, Raisin 🐈‍⬛

To me, Oasis isn’t just a clinic — it’s a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and cared for the moment they walk through the door. I’m so grateful to have joined such an incredible team! 🤍

✨ Poll time! ✨

Have you ever done 10,000 kegel contractions?
👉 Yes
👉 No

Here’s the scoop:
A kegel is simply a pelvic floor muscle contraction. For a long time, kegels were considered the answer to pelvic health concerns—but our field has grown. We now know pelvic health is far more complex, and true recovery requires more than just squeezing those muscles over and over again 👀

Devices like the Emsella Chair and EmpowerRF make your pelvic floor contract thousands of times in a single session. While that might sound impressive, it’s a lot like doing endless reps at the gym—quantity doesn’t always equal quality 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

Just like with any good training program, what really matters is balance, strategy, and addressing the whole body. These devices may play a role, but they don’t get to the true root of the issue 🙂‍↔️

Here’s the reality: whether it’s postpartum recovery, urinary incontinence, or pelvic pain, thousands of contractions are almost never the full solution. In fact, for some people, doing more kegels can actually make symptoms worse by over-tightening muscles that already need relaxation and coordination—not just strength 🧘‍♀️

At Oasis PT, we know pelvic health isn’t about how many kegels you can do—it’s about restoring function through a comprehensive, evidence-based approach that truly lasts 🌿

10,000 kegels at once… yes please or no thanks? Let us know below! 👇

💡 Did you know? Pelvic health rehab is the missing link in postpartum recovery.

Pelvic health rehab specialists are uniquely trained to guide healing, strength, and resilience—going far beyond what social media tips can offer. 🌿

Too often, postpartum care is rushed or overlooked—leaving many moms feeling burdened, isolated, and without the support they truly need. We’re here to change that. ✨

Research shows that up to 1 in 3 postpartum women experience issues like leakage, pelvic pain, or core weakness, yet only a fraction are ever referred to pelvic health rehab. Studies consistently highlight that guided rehab not only reduces these symptoms, but also helps prevent long-term complications like prolapse or chronic back pain. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

At Oasis Physical Therapy, we are the pelvic health rehab specialists of Stillwater. 🪴

With hands-on therapy, tailored exercise programs, education, and our amazing whole-body approach, we have the tools to lighten the burden and restore confidence. 🌈

Postpartum care shouldn’t leave you feeling alone—there is help, there is hope, and healing is absolutely possible. 🫶🏼

We’re continuing our Meet the Team series again today, letting you in on who we are behind the scenes here at Oasis Physical Therapy 🌿

🌟 Meet the Team: Julicia 🌟

Hi, I’m Julicia! I’m one of the first people you’ll meet at the front desk here at Oasis. I always try to approach patient care with friendliness and an open mind, while still making sure everything runs smoothly — so you’ll feel welcomed and cared for the very moment you walk in. 🤍

I’m currently a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, studying Sports Management. I was originally born in California, and though my family has moved around as I grew up, I’ve found a home here in Stillwater while I’m at OSU. In my free time, I love playing pickleball, going shopping, relaxing with a good book, and cheering on Ohio State football. 🏈

The photo here is from the Oklahoma State Football Homecoming Parade last year — I enjoy getting involved in all the different events and traditions around Stillwater! 🎉

I’m so glad to be part of the Oasis team and I look forward to welcoming you when you come in! 🫶🏼

What does health and wellness mean to YOU? 🤔

As emphasized in our most recent newsletter, August is recognized as National Wellness Month — it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on what health and wellness mean in your own life 🌎

For some, health and wellness is:
🌿 Nourishing food & movement
🧘 Stress management & rest
💬 Strong relationships & community
⚖️ Balance between body, mind & spirit

At Oasis PT, we take a head-to-toe, whole-person approach to care 🌸

We believe everyone deserves to experience what pelvic health support can do for their overall wellness—because without addressing pelvic health, the picture of wellness isn’t truly complete. That’s why we encourage every person to work with us at least once in their lifetime 🪴

Our holistic lens focuses on the four pillars of pelvic health: stress, sleep, nutrition, and movement. By gently supporting each of these four areas, you move one step closer to feeling more balanced, resilient, and aligned on your path toward having true health and wellness. ✨

We’re kicking off our new Meet the Team series, where you’ll get to know the people behind Oasis Physical Therapy! 🌿

🌟 Meet the Team: Dr. Kelsi Odell 🌟

Hi, I’m Dr. Kelsi Odell, PT, DPT, proud owner and physical therapist at Oasis Physical Therapy right here in Stillwater! I opened Oasis with the dream of creating a space where everyone feels welcome and supported — because pelvic health truly matters for women, men, and all genders in between. From postpartum recovery and menopause care to pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, incontinence, and constipation, nothing excites me more than helping people regain confidence, strength, and resilience in their everyday lives. 🫶🏼

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me out cycling, curled up with a good book, exploring the world, or cheering on OSU sports. And of course, some of my favorite moments are the simple ones — just spending time with my husband and our two dachshunds 🐾.

It’s an honor to serve the Stillwater community and support our patients through every step of their health journey. Oasis is more than a clinic — it’s a place of connection, care, and healing. 🪴
