Melody Cares will attract DSPs who have found caring for people with disabilities to be their calling, their life’s work. Because the administration of the company will be mainly managed by seasoned volunteer professionals most of the available funding will go to the wages of the DSPs so that they finally can be fairly compensated for their dedication, skills and experience. We believe that this will:
· Increase the retention of caring, dedicated and experienced DSPs
· Decrease the need for DSPs to work multiple jobs to make a living.
· Increase the satisfaction of service recipients and their families by avoiding staff turnover.
Enable DSPs to be even more dedicated to the service recipient because they have fewer worries about providing for themselves and their families.
