Last night our nurse practitioner Christine Stowe Ostendorf spoke at a local fitness and training center about metabolic health, fat loss, and the real factors that drive (or stall) progress. She covered how hormones, stress, sleep, nutrition, and the right type of exercise all impact metabolism, why extreme dieting and overtraining can backfire, and how perimenopause and aging change the rules for many women. The focus wasn’t quick fixes, but understanding your body, your labs, and how to build a sustainable approach to weight loss and long-term health. We’re grateful for the thoughtful questions and great conversation, and proud to see Refine Wellness Clinic represented in the community.
