Sunlight and Vitamin D: A Perfect Pair
We all know that Vitamin D levels are associated with health outcomes of all kinds. Maybe what you didn't know though, is during the pandemic, they discovered that supplementing with vitamin d doesn't have the same effect as someone who is high in vitamin d because of sunlight.
There is something going on with the sun that we can't artificially replicate.
After going through the profound experience with Henry last summer and witnessing how his body did a "reset" when we took him outside for a few hours, I have been on a deep dive to learn more about the science behind all of this.
I'm particularly curious how this will impact cancer treatments and patient outcomes. There is some research that I'm coming across that is absolutely fascinating and I'm wondering why this isn't implemented (sunshine) into standard care of patients.
