Today is Apraxia Awareness Day! A day to raise understanding, support, and awareness for children and families affected by childhood apraxia of speech. 💙

Children with CAS know what they want to say, but their brain and mouth have trouble working together to say the words clearly.

What a day at the 5th Grade Career Fair! Our table stayed BUSY with fifth graders eager to get hands-on making slime while learning about all the fun, creative, and meaningful things occupational therapists do every day. From sensory play to helping children build important life skills, OT is all about making growth engaging! We loved seeing so much curiosity and enthusiasm and hope we sparked excitement for future careers helping others. 🫧🖐️🧠💚

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month! A time to celebrate the life-changing work of Speech-Language Pathologists and raise awareness about the many ways they help individuals communicate, connect, and thrive 💙

Speech therapists do so much more than help with speech! SLPs can evaluate and treat:
🗣️ Speech sound disorders
👂 Language delays and comprehension difficulties
🧠 Cognitive-communication skills
🥤 Feeding and swallowing challenges
📚 Social communication skills
🎤 Voice and fluency disorders, including stuttering

Happy National Therapy Animal Day! 🐾💙

We’re celebrating our very own Splash, who is such a valuable member of our clinic team at Advanced Therapy Solutions! From supporting Speech Therapy sessions to helping during Occupational Therapy activities, Splash brings comfort, motivation, and plenty of smiles to the patient's we serve.

He also spends time in the waiting room, providing comfort, love, and a friendly face to help kids, parents, and adult patients feel at ease before their sessions begin.

His calm presence helps build confidence, encourages communication, and makes therapy feel a little more fun and a lot more engaging. We are so lucky to have him as part of our team! 🐶✨
