Hustle culture used to rule my world...😮‍💨

I felt that if I softened my grip even a bit that everything would fall apart, so I continued to push, strive, and work endlessly. My attempts to control and perfect my life were keeping me in a sick cycle I couldn't break free from.

On the outside, I looked calm, cool, collected. The one who had it all together, but what I really had was extreme tension, migraines, irregular cycles, insomnia and anxiety - my body was waving the red flag saying "you can't keep doing this."🚩

Then I broke up with burnout and found regulation.✌️

Migraines can be complex when it comes to the triggers, severity + frequency. Trying to get to the root cause can feel like an uphill battle.😩

As someone who has battled migraines for many years, these have been my go-to's for lasting relief + healing:

🧠 Frequent nervous system focused chiropractic care: At my worst, I was experiencing debilitating migraines 4 to 5 times per week. My nervous system was dysregulated, and my muscle tension was through the roof. Receiving frequent adjustments (3x/week) helped my nervous system down-regulate, ease my tension, and help my body go in to optimal alignment.

🍎 Whole 30 Elimination Diet: Reducing systemic inflammation can make a significant impact on overall health and wellbeing. I selected the Whole 30 as it was easy to find products that were deemed acceptable, and there were many free resources and recipes that helped make the dietary change easier.

🤝 Holistic Care Team: Hormones, environmental factors, and lifestyle habits play a huge role when it comes to migraines, so having a comprehensive team that takes a whole body approach to healing is key! Some professionals that have been essential to my journey have been: naturopaths, acupuncturists, massage and mental health therapists.

🌱 Stress Reduction + Rest: Countless times I would push through the pain and discomfort of a migraine, which would only make things worse. Taking an honest look at my stress levels (physical, emotional, and environmental), slowing down, resting, and making daily lifestyle changes moved mountains when it came to deep healing.

✨ Magnesium + Electrolytes: Stress depletes magnesium in the body, and lack of magnesium can contribute to migraines. By ensuring my body had proper hydration and mineral balances was helpful at keeping migraines tame, or away altogether!

My passion for learning Krav Maga was ignited by the incredible instructors at Valley Self-Defense after I took this exact workshop for the first time.

After an amazing turn out in our last workshop, I am excited to partner with them again to do a Revival exclusive Stay Away class! The 2 hour Stay Away: Intro to Women's Self-Defense workshop focuses on boundary setting and self-defense. You will be surrounded by other women in a trauma-informed, beginner friendly environment that will leave you feeling empowered and confident in your abilities to defend yourself!

The workshop will be from 1-3PM on Saturday, April 26th at Valley Self Defense in Stillwater. The investment for this class will be $50/person. Invite your friends + family - I am excited to train alongside you!🥊

Success Story: Happy Mama, Happy Baby

In my third trimester of pregnancy I was having a lot of lower pelvic pain and round ligament pain, something I had just assumed was a part of pregnancy and something I would have to deal with for the next 6 weeks. My baby was also in a breached position at 34 weeks and I had been told by my doctor the chances of him flipping on his own were slim due to lack of space.

After just one adjustment I noticed relief and with continued adjustments even more relief!! At my 37 week appointment my baby had turned to the optimal position for a natural delivery. Even my medical doctor was surprised!

I would highly recommend Revival Chiropractic for your prenatal care. I was able to enjoy the last weeks of my pregnancy and deliver my baby naturally. My only regret is not starting earlier on in my pregnancy!

Dr. Anna and Dr. Monica are so good at explaining everything they are doing and so knowledgeable about chiropractic care in pregnancy it was really comforting. The adjustments were so relaxing too! The doctors are so eager and excited to give their patients the best experience and are genuinely passionate about what they do!!
