I live/suffer with migraines. Incredibly high baseline for almost 2 years now, directly correlated to my first retina detachment and the flood of extra/not useful info that goes through my eyes.
Sometimes, my hair even hurts. I've texted a friend at 2am asking if I should just shave my whole head to make it hurt less. Thankfully, I texted the friend I knew was awake and got talked off the ledge.
I have a whole toolbox full of migraine survival techniques- meds, TallowMg, electrolytes, no lights, sunglasses, hoods, hot rice sock, ice helmet, more protein, more water. It's a wild, and super unpredictable ride.
The other day in a "make my hair stop hurting" moment, I was like maybe I could just spray Mg right on my scalp. There may have been like 10-12 sprays, but it did calm it a bit and made me less likely to find the clippers. Needless to say my hair was kinda rough in the morning, but after my shower I noticed all that salt water in the Mg made for some beachy texture in my hair. haha. Added bonus!

I'm not a hair girly, I don't know if this is actually good or bad for you, but it was kinda an added bonus for sure.

A small shift for a stronger season 🌾

After a lot of thought (and some honest math), I’ve decided to close the Katie & Ethel website at the end of the month.

With my vision challenges, I can’t confidently maintain an ADA-accessible site the way I’d want to. (and the back end of the site is the most inaccessible layout...think "we'll make some things bigger and just remove the other half") Rather than keep paying for something that isn’t fully usable for everyone — including me — I’m choosing simplicity.
