He came to North Dakota nineteen years ago to start and manage a counseling center for Trinity Medical Center. He served as the director for seven years and then pursued a work with a local ministry. During this time he wrote and developed skills that gave him an appreciation for public speaking. He has served in the military, has been a corporate vice president for marketing, developed several p

sychiatric programs nationwide, served in the mental health field for almost thirty years and is a proud survivor of nineteen North Dakota winters. He was named a healthcare provider of the year in 1998 and was received into the National Speaker’s Bureau of Distinction in 2001. He is a devoted pet lover, singer, author, lecturer, Cajun gourmet cook, humorist, talk show host and the proud father of five children and eight grandchildren. Dr. Edwards holds a doctorate in psychology and counseling, is a certified suicide specialist, state licensed therapist and is a nationally certified marriage and family therapist. He specializes in marriage therapy, depression, anxiety and stress management.
