Welcome Back! Our office will be reopening on Tuesday, May 26th! We can't wait to see you...

Dear Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

• Our office will communicate with you beforehand (via text message or email, in most cases) to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. Please be sure that we have a current cell phone number and email address.

• We ask that you wear a mask to the appointment.

• Due to enhanced PPE requirements, our office may be chillier than usual. Please bring a sweater, sweatshirt, or light jacket along to the appointment for your comfort.

• In order to promote social distancing, we ask that only one parent/guardian accompany the patient to the appointment. We also ask that only child/children with scheduled appointments come to the visit.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

• Upon arrival, the patient's temperature will be taken along with any accompanying parent/guardian's.

• You may see that our waiting room and treatment rooms will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. You may want to bring something to keep your child entertained if there's any waiting time during their appointment. A book, tablet, cell phone, or small toy that they can play with while sitting in the dental chair would be good options.

• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of people in our office at any one time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 651-439-5640 or visit our website at www.pediatricdentistrymn.com.

For those patients that had appointments scheduled during our closure, we ask for your continued patience. We are doing our best to get everyone rescheduled, but these changes make it challenging to accommodate every patient promptly. Rest assured that we are working diligently to get everyone back on the schedule as quickly as we possibly can.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Drs. Greg, Rick, Nick, and Jared and the entire team at Pediatric Dentistry

Dear Patients and Families of Pediatric Dentistry,

As our world navigates through this unprecedented time, we want you to know that your child(ren) are and will continue to be our number one priority and concern.

Sadly, Pediatric Dentistry will continue to be temporarily closed to all non-emergent or elective dental treatment per executive order by Governor Tim Walz in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please know that at this time, we are still available for any emergency treatment that includes:

• Severe swelling related to a tooth infection
• Severe tooth pain
• Any dental trauma that causes permanent tooth loss

If your child is experiencing any of these emergency concerns, please contact our office at (651)439-5640. We will do our best to help you through any emergency situations.

At this time we do not have a definitive re-opening date, however, we will keep you up-to-date when we receive more information.

Please do not contact us to reschedule appointments at this time. We will be contacting you in the coming weeks to assist with rescheduling any appointments that needed to be cancelled due to our temporary closure.

Our phone lines will continue to be supported from 9:00 am-1:00 pm Monday – Thursday to answer any questions or concerns you may have. If we are not available when you call us, please leave a voicemail message and we will gladly return your call on our next business day.

If you would like to pay your bill, you may call us during these hours or feel free to use our convenient online payment option at www.pediatricdentistrymn.com.

We are so incredibly thankful for your patience and understanding during this time. We will continue to do our part to help our community stay safe and we look forward to seeing you and your child again soon!

Praying for the health and safety of you and your families,

Drs. Greg, Rick, Nick, Jared and the staff at Pediatric Dentistry
