A few in our studio community attended The Fight for Gun Violence Prevention – A Minnesota Town Hall at the Historic Washington County Courthouse in Stillwater. This afternoon’s event was filled to capacity. It was very encouraging to see so many in our community show up for our children.

The leading cause of death in children in the U.S. is fi****ms, surpassing car accidents and cancer. The US leads significantly over all other countries, with over 9.5 times that of Canada, the country with the second-highest rate.

Enough is enough!

Yeah, we do actually practice tai chi/qigong, but these gatherings are more about the people; a chance to check in, connect, and build community around a campfire. 🔥

Reminder: Our Annual Tai Chi Friendsgiving Celebration is Saturday, Nov 22nd at Pioneer Park. Will will have the fire going. If you’d like, bring marshmallows, hot dogs, or other food, snacks, or drinks to share. Practice starts at 3:00pm. All are welcome to follow along or just watch by the fire.

If being out in the cold Minnesota air isn’t your thing, no worries. Sherry leads an in-studio tai chi practice the 2nd and 4th Monday throughout the winter season. Practice is on a sliding fee $10-$20 and starts this Monday, 11/10 at 6pm.

The monthly Sound Immersion with Sherry Strand, RN is Friday, Nov 7th 7:00 - 8:00pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to slow down and immerse yourself in the healing of sound vibration. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, or pillow to be comfortable. Recliners are available for those unable to comfortably lay on the floor.

Maine says no to restricting voting

Yesterday was a big win for democracy and a reminder that we, the people hold the power. And this power comes with responsibility to stay informed and actively participate.

As just one of our postcard initiatives, our studio community organized and wrote almost 500 postcards in support of Prop 50. A coordinated effort makes an impact!

There’s plenty to celebrate today. The immediate road is long and difficult. Tomorrow, we get right back at it!

Share with those affected by food insecurity due to the government shutdown and layoffs. Let’s take care of one another!
