Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country ❤️🤍💙

At Elder Ridge Manor, we are especially grateful for the veterans, families, and loved ones whose stories, strength, and sacrifices have shaped our lives and freedoms. Their courage will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect, remember, and give thanks. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful holiday as we honor those who served and sacrificed for us all 🇺🇸

✨ Meet the Team Monday ✨

This week we’re spotlighting Justin!

Justin says the best way to start his day is with a Celsius ⚡ and the best way to end it is cuddling with his dogs 🐶

If he could live anywhere, he’d choose Jamaica 🌴☀️ and his “hidden talent” is walking into Walmart for one thing and leaving $100 later😂

His personal theme song?
“Yeah Glo!” by GloRilla 🎶

When he’s not at work, you can usually find him scrolling TikTok or Facebook, or taking his dogs to the dog park.

What reminds Justin why he became a caregiver?
“Seeing the residents smile definitely helps remind me why I do this. Another is hearing stories from the residents.”

We’re thankful to have caregivers like Justin who bring laughter, compassion, and personality into our home every day 💙

🌟 Meet the Team Monday: Sidney 🌟

Say hello to Sidney Adams! 💙

Sidney starts her day with a Celsius and ends it cruising home with her favorite music 🎶

If she could live anywhere, she’d pick St. Lucia 🌴 for the warm weather, ocean views, and laid-back lifestyle

Fun fact: Sidney is a natural on the slopes ⛷️ she picked up skiing like a pro!

Her personal theme song? “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” a classic ❤️

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her hiking the Rocky Mountains or enjoying lake days up north ☀️🌊

Sidney is also a proud dog mom to Jack & Ellie 🐶🐶

But what we love most- Sidney became a caregiver because she believes everyone deserves love and companionship, and she shows up every day to be that friend for our residents 💕

We’re so lucky to have you, Sidney! 💛

May is Military Appreciation Month — a time to pause, reflect, and express deep gratitude for the brave individuals who have served and continue to serve.

Throughout this month, we recognize several meaningful days:
• May 1 – Loyalty Day
• May 8 – Victory in Europe (VE) Day
• May 10 – Military Spouse Appreciation Day
• May 13 – Children of Fallen Patriots Day
• Third Saturday in May – Armed Forces Day
• Last Monday in May – Memorial Day

Each of these moments reminds us that service extends beyond the battlefield — it includes families, sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering commitment.

To all active duty service members, veterans, National Guard, Reservists, and the families who stand beside them: thank you. Your courage, strength, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. Because of you, we live with greater security and freedom.

This week we’re featuring Chyanne Lindquist! 💁‍♀️💛

Chyanne starts her day like a pro; breakfast + iced caramel coffee ☕ and ends it with a full vibe: shower, chocolate-covered strawberries 🍓, and a movie/show 🎬

If she ever disappears… just know she’s probably living her best life in Hawaii 🌺 waking up to ocean waves 🌊

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her shopping 🛍️ with her mom or friends (because retail therapy is real)

❤️ On a more serious note — Chyanne has such a big heart. After spending a lot of time in the hospital growing up, caring for others the way she was cared for became her passion and it truly shows every day.

This week we’re excited to introduce you to Pearl Evans 💛

Pearl starts her mornings the best way, with a cup of coffee and devotions ☕ and winds down by spending time with her family, which tells you everything you need to know about how much she values connection and care.

If she could live anywhere, she’d pick Kentucky for the beautiful mountains 🌄 (we can’t blame her there!).

Now for a hidden talent… 🎤
Pearl loves to sing!

Her personal theme song? “Unstoppable” by Sia ✨ (and honestly… it fits perfectly).

When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her fishing or hunting 🎣, enjoying the outdoors.

And of course we can’t forget Moose 🐾
Pearl is a proud dog mom to her French bulldog!

We couldn’t skip out on Karley’s big day so here we are😄🎂

If you’ve met Karley, you already know… she’s very cool and very hilarious (her words, but we agree 😂)

☀️ Morning routine: Powered by a Bloom energy drink
🌙 Night routine: Netflix and relaxation mode ON 🎬

🌴 Dream life: Living in Hawaii soaking up the sun year-round (honestly… same)

🎶 Theme song: Lush Life — fitting, right?

🌼 Free time = Gardening, hanging out with her bunnies Honey & Midnight, and watching her cat Cooper attempt to catch chipmunks 🐈

❓Why she became a caregiver:
Karley was inspired by her mom growing up and knew she wanted to help people who need it most—which shows in everything she does!

💛 Karley has been part of our Elder Ridge family since 2022, and we’re so lucky to have her!

👻 Fun fact: She also loves to scare the staff… so if you hear a random scream, it’s probably Karley at work 😅

We’re so lucky to have Karley on our team—she keeps us laughing (and on our toes 😅) and brings so much heart to our home 🏡💕

🐣🌷Happy Easter from Elder Ridge!🌷🐣

We couldn’t wait for Easter… so we asked the Easter bunny to come a little early!

Our day was filled with bingo, an Easter egg hunt, a serious game of co****le, and LOTS of good food 🥚🎉

From ham salad sliders to Easter cookies, plus some refreshing Shirley Temples & cherry Cokes 🥤🍪 it was the perfect mix of treats and fun!

We took full advantage of the warm weather sneaking in, it felt like a little preview of summer ☀️ and the smiles said it all 😊

But the fun didn’t stop there… our residents got to enjoy a delicious Easter dinner as well, making it a full day of celebration! 🐣🍽️

Days like these are what it’s all about—bringing everyone together, sharing laughs, and making memories 💕

Powered by coffee ☕, good music 🎶, and pure caregiver magic ✨ — that’s Jamie!

🌴 Dream destination?
Florida… because Michigan winters are NOT it❄️😂

💇‍♀️ Fun fact:
She can take care of you AND fix your hair — yes, she’s a cosmetologist too!

🎵 Theme song?
Eye of the Tiger — because she shows up ready to handle whatever the day throws at her 💪

🎲 When she’s off the clock:
Cards, camping, boating… or just relaxing after saving the day (again) 😌

🐾 Home life:
3 kids, a dog named Roscoe, and a cat named Edgar 🐶🐈

💖 Why she does it:
Jamie brings a calm, patient, and loving presence every single day. She’s all about making our residents feel comfortable, understood, and truly cared for — even on the tough days ❤️

We’re not saying she’s a superhero… but we’ve never seen her and one in the same room 👀🦸‍♀️

Jamie has been with us almost three years now and we’re pretty sure our residents would vote to keep her forever 😄
