Both tests help us better understand how your nerves and muscles are functioning — but they do it in different ways:
🔹 Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) measure how quickly electrical signals move through your nerves.
🔹 Electromyography (EMG) records muscle activity and detects abnormal patterns.

These tests are often done together to pinpoint the cause of nerve pain, numbness, or weakness — helping us tailor the most effective treatment plan for you.

Our History

Founded in 2008 by Dr. Vincent Galan, Pain Care was created on the belief that our focus should be centered on providing our patients with a high quality, patient-focused, pain management program. Our goal is to improve our patient’s quality-of-life, which includes ensuring that the time our patients spend at our offices be as enjoyable as possible.

Our pain management team is directed by board-certified anesthesiologists and physiatrists who specialize in the treatment of pain. These highly-trained physicians are driven by a desire to not only build lasting relationships with our patients but also to find solutions to help our patients manage their chronic pain.
