💧 Tip: Aim for at least 8–10 cups of water per day, and more if you’re sweating.

Summer brings with it an increase in bugs due to warmer temperatures, more daylight, and abundant resources. Common summer bugs include mosquitoes, ticks, ants, and wasps, some of which can carry diseases or cause discomfort. Preventing bug bites and stings involves wearing protective clothing, using insect repellent, and taking steps to reduce bug activity in your yard.

We hope everyone has a great Summer!
The following are guidelines for Summer sun safety:

* Avoid the sun during peak hours. The sun's rays are most intense between 10 AM and 4 PM, so try to stay indoors or find shade during these hours. If you must be outside, you can walk on the shady side of the street, sit under an umbrella, or take shelter under a covered porch.

* Wear protective clothing. Clothing made of tightly woven fabrics, like cotton, can help reduce the amount of UV light that reaches your skin. You can also try wearing a wide-brimmed hat to shade your face and neck.

* Use sunscreen. Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to any skin that isn't covered by clothing, and reapply every two hours.

* Wear sunglasses. Sunglasses with UV protection can help protect your eyes from the sun's harsh rays.

* Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water can help keep your skin healthy and prevent dehydration, which can be caused by sunburn.

* Avoid tanning. Tanning beds and tanning out by the pool can increase your risk of skin cancer and premature wrinkles.
