🌳 Hillhaven Hollow 🌳 is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Seguin Juvenile Detention Center to bring equine assisted psychotherapy to the kids!

We needed a couple of smaller horses for the program so allow me to introduce our first new teammate!

Meet Sugar!! 🍭Pony extraordinaire and new addition to Hillhaven Hollow’s therapy team! 🐴

She’s as sweet 🍬 as her name and we know she’ll be a perfect partner for the kids. 🐴❤️

It was cold enough here to blanket the girls. Fed them extra hay and pelleted feed to keep up their internal warmth since they’re used to an average temp of 80 plus degrees and we got to 22 degrees overnight here in South Texas! Gotta keep my co-therapists safe and happy!

We have openings for equine assisted psychotherapy and regular talk therapy too!

Faith and Regulation-God does not rush the healing He designed.

Taking it slow when attempting to heal from life’s ups and downs is so important to regulating our emotions.

Attempting to rush change never lands us where we want or need to be. What gets us there is slow deliberate connection to our faith and to our Father. The deepest healing occurs when we walk hand in hand with Jesus, reflecting on how we got to this place in our lives and listening to guidance from above.

Let Him lead you through this. Listen, Hear and Implement. Take it slow, He’s always with you.
