Delta Health Care is a nonprofit community-based organization providing the WIC supplemental nutrition program, breastfeeding support and services, nutrition education, healthy cooking demonstrations, school-based health centers and much more! Delta Health Care and Management Services Corporation (Delta Health Care) is a private nonprofit community based organization dedicated to providing health, wellness, breastfeeding, and health education outreach services to underserved families, women, adolescents, children and individuals in San Joaquin County. Developed by the Community Action Council to serve the needs of low income families, the organization began providing services with an emphasis on Family Planning prior to 1970 and became incorporated as Delta Health Care, a not-for-profit agency, in 1978. Core services currently provided include:

School-Based Health Centers: Delta Health Care opened its first school-based site at Edison High School in January 1993 to provide comprehensive health services to students. Delta Health Care now operates the provision of services to students at Edison, Stagg and Franklin High Schools, including sports physicals, general medical and mental health services, reproductive health care, screenings, counseling and referrals. Outreach at community organizations, events, and schools: Delta Health Care utilizes a variety of age and culturally appropriate curricula/information for outreach and promotion at several community events and health fairs, resources to medical offices, referrals to additional community organizations and provides valuable information to those in need throughout the community. Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program: The WIC Program is a federally funded nutrition program administered by the State of California. Delta Health Care’s WIC Program began in 1972 and, as the largest provider of WIC services in San Joaquin County, continues to be a leader in the provision of WIC Nutrition Services including enrollment, food instrument distribution, nutrition counseling, education and care plans to WIC eligible participants at five sites located in Stockton and Lodi. Breastfeeding Support and Promotion: Delta Health Care provides breastfeeding support, promotion, lactation education and information to WIC clients and the community. WIC has added more choices to help you shop for the foods your family knows and loves. Enjoy new whole grains, more yogurt flavors, fresh herbs, canned fish and more.

WIC is adding new whole grain options in mid-April! Your family will have more ways to make the meals you already enjoy.

New approved options include:
Corn masa flour
Whole grain cereals
Whole grain cornmeal
Whole wheat bagels
Whole wheat English muffins
Whole wheat pita bread

Families now have more choices for already approved whole-grain foods like pasta, cereals and tortillas. These whole grains help give your family the healthy fiber and lasting energy they need for a busy day.

Yogurt just got even better at WIC! Starting in mid-April, you will have more yogurt flavors to choose from including new fruit flavors. Choose from options like mango, peach, blueberry and strawberry-banana.

We are celebrating all the new ways California WIC helps you bring fresh, flavorful and healthy foods to your table!

Starting in mid-April, WIC is offering more fresh options:
You will be able to use your Fruits and Vegetables Benefit to buy fresh cut herbs like parsley, basil and rosemary.

You can use your WIC Card to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs at your local farmers’ market year round—not just at the grocery store.
Find a WIC approved farmers’ market near you and see your new fruit and vegetable options at MyFamily.WIC.ca.gov
