Dr Van Sicklen is a 1975 graduate of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, and a 1980 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He is married to Janet who is a Certified Public Accountant in Sacramento. He has two sons, both dentists. Andy practices in San Luis Obispo, and Charlie practices both in South Lake Tahoe and in our office in Stockton on Thursda

ys. He also has two step daughters. Michele is a nurse in San Diego,and Laura is a teacher in Cape Town, South Africa! He and his wife have three dogs of their own and two grand dogs. Dr V, practices family, general and cosmetic dentistry in a traditional practice setting. He remains active in the San Joaquin Dental Society, the California Dental Society and the American Dental Association. His special niche in all three organizations is meeting and continuing education planning. In 2012 he served as Chairman of the CDA Presents Board of Managers, and was chair designate of the American Dental Association Annual Session, Denver 2016. Jim enjoys several hobbies. He loves golf, but it remains mediocre at it at best. He also enjoys boating of all kinds, and is currently restoring a 1947 Chris Craft Deluxe Runabout. It is definitely one of the more challenging projects of his life.
