Healthy Heart Month ❤️
In honor of Healthy Heart Month, we kicked off a Pedometer Challenge where residents are challenged to take at least 2,000 steps a week.
This fun challenge encourages movement, promotes heart health, and is a great way to get residents started on a more active lifestyle. Every step counts toward a healthier heart!
Let’s keep moving and celebrating healthy hearts together!

Meet Sister Theresa and Bertha. Friends long before moving to The Oaks over 5 years ago. They worked together at the Stockton School for Adults until retirement and chose to begin this next chapter side by side.
They continue to give back in so many meaningful ways, holding Sunday communion for residents and staying active in the community through games like yahtzee, qwirkle and more. Their bond, kindness, and involvement truly make The Oaks feel like home.

Meet Tony: Made “Crystal Clear” glass. A PPG trademark name was 3/4 inch thick. Used to make aircraft transparencies for the B-1 bomber and was used, although recently replaced as in last year, the glass barrier that protected Michelangelo’s “Pieta” statue in the Vatican. Was made at the Crystal City Missouri factory back in the 80’s.

📖✨ Our first poetry reading was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! Residents shared their favorite poems in French, original works, and poems their mothers once read to them. One of our residents’ poems was even published! What a joy to hear such talent and creativity come to life.
