๐ When the Government Shuts Down, Our Humanity Must Rise Up!โ ๐
Lakeisha Little-Shaw
The recent government shutdown has left our most vulnerable: families, children, seniors, and those living with disabilities without access to essential food benefits overnight. For many, this means empty plates and growing worry about how to feed their loved ones.
This is the moment for us, as neighbors, leaders, and community members to come together and fill in the gap. This is what humanity looks like in action.
โจ Hereโs how weโre stepping up:
๐ฑ The SHAW Bar will be donating all meal preps to our most vulnerable community members (disabled/elderly).
๐ฅฆ All perishable food donations will go directly to families with children.
๐ฆ All monetary donations will be used to purchase food boxes for families in need โ distributed through SHAW 4 Community, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving San Joaquin County.
Letโs show what true community looks like: COMPASSION, UNITY, and ACTION.
You can call, stop by The SHAW Bar, or donate online to help us feed our neighbors in need.
โค๏ธ Together, we can make sure no one is left hungry.
