Our CEO, Lakeisha Little-Shaw, showing up and pouring into our youth at Merlo Institute of Environmental Technology is exactly what SHAW 4 Community is all about.

Standing alongside Lynell Hamilton and supporting the incredible work of Hamilton’s Heart Foundation, this moment reflects the power of collaboration and purpose. Bringing a wellness program back to Stockton to invest in our youth—especially those who are often overlooked and underserved—is the kind of impact our community needs.

At SHAW 4 Community, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of our community. Partnerships like this allow us to expand that impact, reach more youth, and create spaces where they feel seen, supported, and empowered.

This is bigger than one organization. This is what happens when we come together to serve, to lead, and to uplift.

This is only the beginning. 💛

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, brilliance, and beauty of women everywhere. 💜

Women are the heartbeat of our families, the backbone of our communities, and the driving force behind change. From nurturing and leading to healing and building, women carry a power that transforms generations.

At SHAW 4 Community, we honor women who show up every day — for their families, their dreams, their communities, and themselves. Women who rise despite challenges, who choose wellness, who break cycles, and who create space for others to thrive.

Today is a reminder that every woman deserves access to health, opportunity, respect, and the freedom to live fully in her purpose.

To the mothers, daughters, sisters, leaders, healers, entrepreneurs, and change-makers — we see you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you.

Keep rising. Keep leading. Keep shining.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Because when women thrive, communities thrive. ✨

HONORED AND HUMBLED ❤️🙏🏾🙌🏾

Black History Month may have ended… but Black history does not.

Black history is being written every day — in how we lead, how we serve, how we build, and how we show up for our communities.

As we step into Women’s History Month, SHAW 4 Community proudly celebrates our Founder & CEO, Lakeisha Little-Shaw, as she receives her Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism — one of the highest honors awarded for community service and impact.

This moment is bigger than a title.

It represents what it means for a Black woman from Stockton — from the South Side — to be recognized for serving, uplifting, and transforming her community.

It represents visibility.
It represents representation.
It represents what is possible.

At SHAW 4 Community, we believe honoring women is not about ego — it is about empowerment.

When one woman is recognized, it opens doors for others.
When one woman stands in her purpose, it gives others permission to do the same.
When one woman refuses to shrink, she creates space for generations behind her.

Our Founder’s work has always been about community — about ensuring wellness, leadership, and opportunity are accessible to everyone.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate women everywhere:
The builders.
The nurturers.
The visionaries.
The healers.
The leaders.
The ones still finding their voice.

We honor the journey.
We honor the impact.
We honor the becoming.

Because Black history didn’t end in February.
And women’s history is being written every single day.

And at SHAW 4 Community, we are proud to be part of both. 💛

We are incredibly grateful to District Attorney Ron Freitas for presenting SHAW 4 Community with a $5,000 check from the Asset Forfeiture Fund.

This investment is more than funding, it’s belief in our youth and belief in prevention through wellness.

Because of this support, our youth program will continue serving at-risk and underserved young people through outdoor experiences, leadership development, and whole-person wellness education, strengthening their mental, emotional, physical, and nutritional health.

When we invest in our youth, we invest in safer, stronger communities.

Thank you for standing with SHAW 4 Community and for recognizing the power of proactive, community-centered impact.

Where Community Thrives Together. 💛

District Attorney Ron Freitas was pleased to present SHAW 4 Community with a $5,000 check from the Asset Forfeiture Fund.

Shaw's youth program supports at-risk and underserved youth through outdoor activities, wellness education, and community engagement—promoting mental, emotional, physical, and nutritional health while building leadership and connection.

❤️ 209 Hikes Presents: Hike to the Beat of Your Heart
📍 Mt. Diablo – Sentinel Rocks
🗓 Sunday, February 15
⏰ 9:00 AM

We’re hitting the trails for something that matters deeply — Heart Health Awareness.

Heart disease is the #1 cause of death for both men and women in the United States.
Every 33 seconds, someone dies from cardiovascular disease.
High blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stress, and lack of physical activity are major risk factors — and many of them are preventable.

The good news?
💪🏾 Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity most days of the week can significantly reduce your risk.
🥗 Healthy nutrition + movement + community support = stronger hearts and longer lives.

And that’s exactly what we create.

Join us as we Hike to the Beat of Your Heart — bringing awareness to heart disease while actively choosing wellness together.

✨ FREE Food
✨ FREE Transportation (limited)
✨ FREE Gift
✨ Heart Health Education
✨ And of course… COMMUNITY

Let’s walk.
Let’s learn.
Let’s take care of our hearts — physically and emotionally.

Because when the heart is healthy, the community thrives.

❤️ Register. Show up. Bring someone you love.
Let’s hike for life.
