We are currently experiencing a PGE (Pacific Gas and Electric) Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in San Joaquin County. There will be some planned power outages in some areas of San Joaquin County now and is expected to continue through June 21, 2025.To monitor the status of the outage and check if your home will be impacted, you can sign up to receive alerts with PGE at: http://www.pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/By entering your address you can see if your location is affected and receive an estimated restoration time.Additionally, you can register at www.sjready.org for alerts in San Joaquin county.
You can check www.sjready.org (http://www.sjready.org/) to learn how to prepare for an outage. Here are some examples of steps you can take:
• Purchase batteries and have flashlights ready; use candles for lighting if necessary.
• Do not plug in electronics during an outage. Instead, use a portable charger to keep your phone and laptop charged.
• Keep your refrigerator closed to help preserve food for up to 48 hours.
• Do not use your stove or oven if your home is without power.
