Sea Foam Soap Company was established in 1997 when Caroline Ranoia, a soap maker from childhood began to sell her soaps at various markets and shows. The recipe was a family creation from her grandmother and passed down. For Caroline, it was a form of therapy to create such pretty bars while mixing in essential oils where aromatic scents could soothe a weary soul, wake you up in the morning or clean the grime off your hands after gardening. “There is something so magical that happens during the process of turning water, oil and lye into a mixture that solidifies, it shows us that it is possible to mix oil and water, like life - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t but the journey is always interesting.”
In 2004 Caroline started to create more than just soap products. She went outside the box and developed organic sugar scrubs, goat milk - honey and shea butter lotions, roll on perfumes, body sprays, body oils. In 2017 body washes, shampoo and conditioners were added to her menu of products.
Coming in January of 2018 she will launch her own line of pet shampoos and conditioners, a ritual tea bath section that will aide bathers with sore muscles, clogged sinus, relaxation and enhanced meditations. Her goal is to continue to brand the Sea Foam Soap Company by Blue Eden image and spill over to offering room amenities of these hand made exquisite products to small boutique hotels. Currently her line is in select businesses, while her room amenity line is available at the Inn at Leola Village. It’s an exciting time of growth as this path has taken her through many ups and downs but mostly on a journey of growth, personally and professionally.
