The Plank I Used to Ignore (My Bad)

What belief did I change this year? I used to think planks weren’t challenging enough to keep in my workouts. I was wrong.
The cable side plank row took my core from “yeah, yeah” to “oh hello, stability.” It hits your obliques, teaches your body not to twist under load, and carries over to squats, deadlifts, presses—plus it’s way kinder to your back than endless crunches.

How I do it (quick):
• Elbow under shoulder, body in a straight line.
• Hips up, squeeze glutes.
• Row to your ribs without letting your torso spin.
• 20–30 seconds or 6–10 smooth rows per side.

Heavy truth: the plank isn’t easy—you were just doing it easy.
