When I was a child, I would be asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I always replied, “I want to be a doctor.” Once I found out how much time and money it would cost, I decided that wasn’t the route I wanted to take. Because I was good at styling my hair, people wanted me to style theirs too. I enrolled in cosmetology school where I would later receive a Master Cosmetology license in 2007. I have always focused on healthy hair and scalp as a self proclaimed “Hair Doctor”, and have worked with many women and men who experience hair loss throughout my career as a natural hair stylist. Some say I have healing hands. My passion for working with these clients stems from seeing my mother, grandmother, and aunts wear weaves and wigs to cover alopecia for years. I want to be able to provide solutions for people to regrow their natural hair and combat any associated scalp issues. While researching to assist family and clients, I discovered a way to finally become a “doctor”. Being a Certified Trichologist will not only give me credibility as an advanced beauty professional, but also introduce me to the science of my profession. It will allow me an opportunity to educate people on scalp healing, hair loss prevention, and hair growth.

I’m back like never before!

THIS TIME, I’m a barber lol

I’m still accepting other hair appointments, just on my off days.

This is a BACK-TO-BASICS move for me because I started out cutting hair in a chain salon straight out of cosmetology school. Now I’m doing something I’ve secretly always wanted to do in conjunction with doing natural hair styles. I appreciate everyone that’s still rocking with me through this journey.
