One Move I’m Still Chasing (and Why)

Q: What’s one exercise you’ve always wanted to master but haven’t yet?

A: The American Kettlebell Swing—and yes, I saw the video. Love the enthusiasm, but the bell looked ready for takeoff. 😂

Why I’m obsessed with mastering it:

when it’s done right, it’s a full-body power move—hips snap, core locks in, bell floats overhead, and your conditioning skyrockets. When it’s… not… it’s more “freestyle hopscotch.”

Quick fix cues I use:

Hinge, don’t squat. Push hips back; let shins stay quiet.

Snap the hips. Arms are just straps; the hips create the bell’s float.

Finish tall. Bell overhead, ribs down, glutes on.

Recycle clean. Hinge early—don’t let the bell dive below your knees.
