Pastoral Counselor Michael Schmidt sees new clients by appointment only Tuesday thru Friday. To schedule an appointment please call 678-615-7509. If no answer please leave your name and phone number. We care about you, and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can. We care about you and because we do, and in order to better serve our local community we now are offering Family Counseling, Business Consulting, and Pastoral Counseling. Pastoral Counselor Michael Schmidt is a charter class graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia. Michael graduated in the top third of his class. Michael was the very first member of the Brookwood High School Marching Band. Michael was also their first soloist. Michael’s father Edwin Schmidt was the co founder of the Brookwood HS Band Association. Michael holds a B.A. from Florida Bible College; a B.S. from Point University; a M.A.B.E. and a Doctorate of Biblical Education from Gwinnett-Hall Baptist College; a M.A.R., M.R.E., and M.Div. from Liberty University – Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael is a May 20127 graduate in the D.Min in Pastoral Counseling at the Liberty Divinity School. Michael is a ABD Ed.D. in Behavioral Health at the regionally accredited Grand Canyon University. As a former-disabled state of Georgia veteran Correctional officer with muscular dystrophy, Michael is uniquely qualified to counsel inmates, and those who are at risk, or have been charged with a crime. Michael has suffered, and he is willing to reach out and give a hand to help those who are down on their luck rise as winners. Michael is a strong believer in the leadership pyramid of John Wooden. As an approved Masters Special Olympics award winning coach and volunteer, Michael has experience counseling those with intellectual disabilities, autism, traumatic brain injuries and alcohol fetal syndrome. Michael counsels those with substance abuse issues, teens in crisis, and those with PTSD. Michael has a true heart and passion to help people. The majority of Michael’s counseling is family counseling. Michael is an ordained Southern Baptist Minister. he was ordained on May 19, 1996. Michael holds an Evangelical Training Association Graduate Diploma. Michael a member of the music ministry at Mountain Park First Baptist Church.
