Our Story
Alternative Rehab For Rapid Recovery is founded by Nicanor Snow, ABT, CMT
Nicanor uses of Tui-Na Therapy combined with other therapeutic modalities. During his practice studies, Nicanor has found methods that work rapidly well with a few effortless techniques that has benefited millions, therefor successfully treating debilitating health conditions who has recovered in a shorter amount of time. He figured this out by experience, through countless healing sessions by applying repetitive hands on kinesics to the pretencoius parts of the human body.
What is Tui-Na? This is a Chinese style healing practice naturally applying external methods comprised of massage, acupressure, magnetic hammers, traction, liniments, gwa sha, cupping and heat to warm the body for increasing circulation. Tui-Na is a hands-on bodywork treatment that involves hands on Traditional Chinese medicine theories and Taoist Qigong arts principles. Tui-Na promotes the realignment of the musclo-skeletal system which restores the flow of qi through massaging and manipulating the muscles and tendons, stimulating acupressure points that affect the flow of qi and blood through the energy channels. By restoring the flow of Qi, the body organically in a natural manner heals and restore itself to balance. Tui-Na is used for treating specific problems associated with the musculo-skeletal system which includes the harmonizing of the nervous systems. At times the techniques can be soft, deep and rapid at the same time. Naturally this method is considered simply as a medical form of massage for treatment of health conditions. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press, and rub between areas needed, known as the nine manipulation techniques, to attempt to open the body’s defensive (wei) chi and get the qi and blood circulating in the meridians and the muscles. Sometimes cupping therapy is applied if needed. Combined methods promotes healing and pain relief. The practitioner can increase range of motion, tractions and flexibility by way of applications of acupressure points. The use of external herbal poultices, compresses, liniments and salves are also at times used to enhance the other therapeutic methods. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Nicanor specializes in treating all types of pain related conditions, post-operative issues, including symptoms of; musculoskeletal joint dysfunction, spinal discomfort with pain, neck irritation and discomfort, back pain and sacrum.
