Yesterday, in honor of Good Friday, we treated our amazing staff to a delicious meal of fresh salmon and haddock. 🐟✨ It’s a small way to show our appreciation for all the hard work, dedication, and care they bring every day. What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

Congratulations to Kevin on completing his rehabilitation with us and returning home with his family! 🎉

Kevin came to us after a hospital stay for help with balance, mobility, and strength. He took part in physical and occupational therapies to regain as much independence as possible.

"The staff were fabulous and treated me well," he shared. "They made sure that all of my rehab needs were addressed. I was not looking forward to going to rehab, but in the end it was worth it!" 🌟

When he returned home, he was much stronger and better able to take care of himself. We are so proud of him! 👏

April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

🛠️ Meet our Maintenance Director, Craig Schubert, who joined our team in February.

🥁 Craig's talents are not confined to fixing things, however. Yesterday, he shared his musical talent with our residents by performing a drumming circle with them. 🪘 Both residents and family members who joined enjoyed playing his beats, swinging their heads and tapping their feet. It was a very fun day as staff and visitors alike stopped by. 🪇

Come join our weekly drum circle with our activities staff and every second Thursday at 2 p.m. with Craig. 🎶

Last week, we celebrated Employee Appreciation Day with our amazing team! 🎉 The day started with a delicious breakfast featuring a made-to-order omelet bar, followed by tacos for lunch and dinner. 🌮🍳 It was a small way to say thank-you to our incredible staff for the hard work, dedication, and compassionate care they provide every day. Our team truly enjoyed the celebration, and we are grateful for everything they do to support residents and each other. 💙
