X-Ray Technician

Bossier Family Medicine is seeking an experienced, certified X-Ray Technician to join our physician-owned family medicine practice. This is a full-time position working in our outpatient radiology department.

Responsibilities:
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce x-ray images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes as ordered by physicians
• Position patients and provide instructions to ensure proper techniques are followed for producing optimal radiographic images
• Follow radiation safety standards and techniques to ensure safety of patients and staff
Qualifications:
• ARRT registry or registry eligible preferred. Current Louisiana license required.
• Proficiency with radiographic equipment, techniques, and procedures
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulations
• Basic computer skills for operating PACS imaging systems

It's that time of year again!

If you haven't got it already, please consider dropping by one of our clinics to get your 2023/24 flu shot. We have regular dose and also high dose for those over 65 years of age. Most insurances will pay for this in full, if you are uninsured our cash pay price is $35.00

Flu shots will reduce the likelihood of your catching Flu, and can also reduce the impact of the symptoms if you are unfortunate to still catch one of the strains.

Flu shots are especially important for the elderly, for the immuno-compromised, and anyone who works in healthcare. If you have any questions about flu shots please contact us and we'd be happy to answer them for you!

March is Colorectal Cancer awareness month. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosis in the US, averaging around 150,000 new cases each year.

Please make sure you and your loved ones are up to date with screenings. There are non-invasive screening tools available, in addition to the recommended colonoscopies. We will work with you and your insurance company to ensure that you get the services that are right for you.
