April is STI Awareness Month! Dr. Alexandra Wells shares the importance of STI screening.

"You should be as comfortable discussing STI screening with your partner(s) as you are what you’re having for dinner. If you are sexually active, you are at risk of STIs. STI screening should be a part of you and your partner(s) routine health maintenance. Your sexual health is important, and STI screening is a part of how you maintain it."

World Health Day is today! This kicks off a year-long campaign by the World Health Organization (WHO) on maternal and newborn health. The campaign, titled "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures", urges governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being.
