When Garrett had to be hospitalized, he showed incredible bravery. ❤️ But the one thing he was most upset about? Missing his kindergarten . So, our amazing team collaborated with Garrett’s parents to throw a surprise graduation ceremony, right at Brook Children's! With family members, teachers, and even local who stopped by to join the celebration, Garrett received the full graduation experience…AND a seat in a real firetruck! 🚒 Way to go, Kindergarten Grad! 👏🎉

Meet Corey Fischer, a High School senior whose strength, compassion, and drive to help others recently earned him the 2025 Youth Award for Legislative District 5 from ! ❤️

After experiencing bullying and losing a close friend, Corey turned pain into purpose. He founded The Jackson Initiative to honor his late friend Jackson, who bravely battled . Through this initiative, Corey donates comfort baskets to oncology patients at Stony Brook Children's. These baskets are filled with cozy socks, fidget spinners, cards, and more.
