1. Be Seen! Wear bright costumes or add reflective tape so drivers can see you. Carry glow sticks or flashlights for extra visibility.

2. Stay on the Path! Stick to sidewalks and cross streets at crosswalks. No shortcuts through yards or alleys to avoid tripping hazards.

3. Check Your Treats! Always inspect candy for wrappers that are intact and toss anything that looks suspicious or unsealed.

4. Check the Streets! Be aware of traffic on the street and be sure to look both ways before crossing!

5. Buddy Up! Make sure kids trick-or-treat in groups or with a trusted adult—strength in numbers keeps everyone safe!

6. Costume Safety! Ensure costumes are the right length to prevent trips, and avoid masks that block vision. Consider face paint instead.

For decades, Exact Eye Care of Rock Valley has had the honor of caring for thousands of patients from the area. Unfortunately, the recent catastrophic flooding has profoundly affected numerous businesses and the lives of many residents in Rock Valley and beyond. Our clinic was entirely compromised and ultimately destroyed by the floods.
