There's something precious about these first few days... the way time slows down, the way they fit so snugly in your arms, like they were always meant to be there.

This studio session felt like a soothing balm—soft focus, gentle light, and all those tiny details you cherish. The teeny tiny nose, the relaxed little limbs, the way they snuggle into you... it's wonder, every single time.

And yes... parents are more than welcome to unwind (or maybe even snooze) while I work my magic .

There’s a special kind of magic in being invited into a family’s story… and sometimes that story begins in the quietest, most sacred spaces.

You may notice I don’t share a lot of birth photos — and that’s because I fiercely honor my clients’ wishes.
This year I’ve witnessed some unbelievably powerful births, held space through tears and triumphs, captured moments that still sit in my chest like little sparks… and many of those images will stay tucked safely with the families they belong to. And honestly? That feels exactly right.

But in-home newborn sessions?
Ohhh, those are their own kind of wonder.
The warmth. The softness. The way a new parent looks at their baby like the whole universe just curled up in their arms.

This sweet moment is from one of my doulatog clients — and damn, it’s a reminder of why I love this work with my whole messy heart. 🩶✨

✨ Maggie, radiant as ever, waiting for her baby girl ✨
Swipe through and you’ll feel it — the kind of love that could melt frost right off the first snowfall of the year. Yeah, it was freezing as hell, but this family showed up glowing like their own damn hearth fire.

Maggie moved through that golden field like the goddess she is, holding her belly with that quiet, powerful knowing only someone growing a whole human can carry. And Izzy? This kid. His sweet, mischievous heart, his tender little hands on his mama’s cheeks… he’s already stepping into “big brother” like it’s the role he was born for.

Families like this make me fall in love with maternity sessions all over again.
There’s just something about witnessing the moment right before everything changes — the softness, the strength, the magic humming under the cold air.
