Stoughton Yoga

Stoughton Yoga located at 101 Silverado Drive, Stoughton, WI WHY WE EXIST

Yoga was never meant to be big business. Just think what we can do together!

The tradition and true spirit of yoga is one grounded in kindness, giving, and awareness that we are ALL connected. We believe that self care through the practice of yoga can be made available to anyone and everyone in our community. Our mission is to ensure that the Stoughton community has access to quality, affordable and inclusive yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes. WHAT WE DO

We offer a variety of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes in our studio at affordable rates, as well as free and accessible Community Gift Classes at the Stoughton Yoga studio and at community locations throughout the greater Stoughton area. COMMUNITY IMPACT

We offer studio yoga classes at about half the cost of similar classes in the Madison area, making the practice of yoga more equitable in an industry that has become increasingly elitist. We eliminate barriers to the practice of yoga by offering classes geared to all body types and abilities in a welcoming environment. We offer free and accessible Community Gift Classes at the Stoughton Yoga studio and at locations throughout the community. We are helping to build a culture of health in our community. HOW YOU CAN HELP

Simply by choosing to attend classes at our studio, you are helping to make our nonprofit business strong and sustainable so we can continue with our mission for years to come. Those with financial means are able to help support the practice of others by making a donation to Stoughton Yoga. View our website: www.stoughtonyoga.org

We're seeing some new faces at the studio. We're so glad you found us!

YOU make Stoughton Yoga unique.

StoYo operates as a community-driven nonprofit. And rather than a traditional top-down, donor-recipient structure, our approach focuses on solidarity, shared responsibility for sustainability, and creating an inclusive environment.

Thank you for your continued support.

Saw this sign on a recent road trip and had to share. If you’re lacking in direction right now or just plain lost, seek out community. It helps to move and breathe with others. You are not alone.

Who remembers practicing yoga with Lilias?

Longtime yoga teacher Lilias Folan, who introduced thousands to the practice through her long-running PBS TV show, passed away on March 9, 2026.

Lilias, 𝘠𝘰𝘨𝘢, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶 was one of the most successful programs in PBS history, making yoga accessible decades before at-home practice became common.

She’s remembered for her approachable teaching style, clear instructions, and ability to make an ancient practice feel relevant to contemporary life in the 1970s, when yoga felt out of reach for many Americans. Her lessons will long be appreciated.

Read an interview with Folan from 2023 at the link in comments.
