Clinical studies at CCHW aren’t abstract, they help to shape the treatments mental health patients will receive in the future. By joining a study, participants become part of a process that not only advances science but directly improves local, regional, and global mental health care. Additionally, patients in research studies have access to treatment that is not available to the general public and can lead to relief from symptoms when conventional solutions seem ineffective.

We all feel stressed from time to time, but burnout is something different. Stress usually comes with short-term pressure and often eases once a challenge passes. Burnout builds slowly and shows up as exhaustion, loss of motivation, and even physical symptoms.

Recognizing the difference matters because burnout requires rest, boundaries, and support to heal. At CCHW, our team can help you identify what you’re experiencing and find the right path forward. Visit us online, at charakcenter.com, or call us, at (855) 424 – 2725, to learn more.

In recovery, knowing the difference between a craving and a trigger can make all the difference. A craving is the urge to use. A trigger is the situation, feeling, or memory that sparks that urge. Learning to spot and manage triggers is a powerful step toward long-term sobriety.

Recovery is not always a straight path. Setbacks can happen, and they do not erase the progress you have already made. What matters most is finding the strength to keep moving forward.

At CCHW, we remind patients that healing takes time and persistence. Every step, even the ones that feel backwards, is a part of building long term recovery. You are not defined by a setback but by the choice to continue.

September 11, 2001, changed our nation forever. The grief and trauma of that day remind us how deeply events can affect mental health. Healing does not mean forgetting—it means finding support, resilience, and compassion in the aftermath.

At CCHW, we honor those who were lost and encourage anyone carrying heavy memories to know that seeking help is a sign of strength.

A new week is a fresh chance to set goals that support your mental health. These goals do not need to be big to make a difference. Choosing to sleep on a consistent schedule, take a short walk each day, or practice mindfulness for a few minutes can all create momentum.

At CCHW, we encourage patients to set goals that feel realistic and meaningful. Small commitments add up over time and can move you closer to lasting wellness.

Addiction does not only affect the person struggling. Friends and family also play an important role in long term recovery. Their support can help build accountability, strengthen resilience, and create an environment where healing is possible.

At CCHW, we recognize recovery as a shared journey. By involving loved ones in the process, we help patients and families work together toward lasting change.

Karma is CCHW’s youth support group created for teens who are facing challenges with mental health, stress, or addiction in their families. The group provides a safe place to share experiences, find encouragement, and build healthy coping skills.

Karma shows young people that they are not alone and that support is available. By connecting with peers and mentors, teens gain tools that help them navigate both daily struggles and long-term growth. Now could be a great time to learn more about support groups for your teens, as they reacclimate to school life.
