Winter wellness starts with small, steady habits. 🌙
Here are 4 ways to stay balanced this season:
💧 Hydrate — indoor heat can deplete moisture fast
☀️ Vitamin D — consider supplementing if you live in Vermont
🛏️ Rest — longer nights = nature’s cue to slow down
💭 Check in with yourself — your emotional health matters, too
Holistic health means honoring all aspects of wellness — body, mind, and spirit — through every season.

It is with deep gratitude and full hearts that we wish Dr. Angela Robens, ND, RN, a warm farewell as she embarks on her next chapter at Water and Grace Healing Space in Hyde Park. Dr Robens will be stepping away from practice at SNFW at the end of the year.
Dr. Robens has been an invaluable part of our team since our founding as a thoughtful clinician, a compassionate listener, and a steady source of support for so many patients and families. Her dedication to holistic healing, her calming presence, and her heartfelt care have left a lasting mark on this community and on all of us at Stowe Natural Family Wellness.
While we are sad to see her go, we are truly excited for her continued growth and the healing she will bring to her new space.
Please join us in wishing Dr. Robens all the success, joy, and fulfillment she deserves in this next chapter! If you have questions about her new practice, check out her website at waterandgracehealingspace.com.

Good news: there’s a lot you can do to reduce the risk of lead exposure in your home and community.
🧽 Wet-clean floors, windowsills, and baseboards regularly
🚰 Let tap water run for 1 minute before using for drinking or cooking
🍎 Wash fruits and veggies thoroughly
🏡 If your home was built before 1978, test paint and dust for lead
🥦 Support your child’s body with calcium, iron, and vitamin C-rich foods — these can help block lead absorption
Lead exposure is preventable — and awareness is the first step toward keeping our Vermont kids healthy and thriving.
10/21/2025
Lead exposure doesn’t always cause obvious symptoms — but over time, it can affect nearly every system in the body.
In children, long-term exposure has been linked to:
🧠 Learning and attention difficulties
💪 Slower growth and development
❤️ Anemia and fatigue
🩸 Behavioral and mood changes
The effects can be lasting, but early detection and treatment can make all the difference.
That’s why screening — even when your child seems healthy — is such an important part of preventive care.

Every relationship goes through challenges — but you don’t have to navigate them alone.
Couples counseling can help you and your partner:
🧭 Communicate more clearly
🌧️ Move through conflict and resentment
💞 Rebuild intimacy and trust
🎯 Navigate major transitions (parenthood, career shifts, loss)
You don’t need to be “on the brink” to benefit. Many couples come to therapy to strengthen their bond and learn new skills.
We’re proud to offer couples counseling with Shane Shepperd, LCMHC, as part of our mental health services at Stowe Natural Family Wellness.
Let’s help you reconnect.

Even small amounts of lead can be harmful to children — and many families are surprised where it can still be found:
🔸 Old paint and household dust (homes built before 1978)
🔸 Plumbing and pipes
🔸 Imported toys, jewelry, and pottery
🔸 Soil near older homes or roadways
If your home or childcare setting is older, or if you’re unsure about your child’s risk, a simple screening can provide peace of mind.
Protecting your family starts with awareness and proper screening 💛
