Last but not least, time to introduce the fourth and final new face that’s joined our Project Walk family. Lauren, a 2021 graduate from Endicott College with her degree in exercise science. An upstate New Yorker who moved to New England for college and got hooked. She loves hanging out with her friends especially her tuxedo cat Penny. Her fun fact is that she recently got engaged! September was Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month and September really was full of some amazing feats and firsts from some of our SCI clients.

-Most recently in the first picture! This past weekend Donny (T), Daniel (T), Dave (C), and Steve (PWB trainer) all rode their bikes 12 miles from Seabrook NH to Newburyport MA. Great work guys!

-Scott (C) has had a goal of getting into a manual chair full time and this month we got him into a manual chair for the first time to practice pushing and getting around our gym all under his own power! Let’s keep that momentum forward Scott!

-Newer client Jeff (T) walking in our KAFOs for the first time between the parallel bars! Maybe this is the next client spotlight teaser, stay tuned. Great job Jeff!

-Finally talk about amazing feats of strength, Cassidy (T) doing 8 close grip pull-ups while hanging from our solo step track system! Keep up the great work Cassidy!

🚨Client spotlight 🚨 Tim (T12) has come such a long way with us, thanks to his hard work and dedication. Here is a collection of videos throughout his time here at PWB. The first video is of him back in 2022 when, you can see, he needed help from a harness and his hands on a rigid handle while on our treadmill.
Swiping through the videos you’ll be able to see his progression from Loftstrand crutches to the smart crutches to the most recent video. The most recent video was taken about a month ago and Tim is now able to take steps independently with only a band helping support his upper body! This is a major step that forces him to support more of his weight through his legs. Tim’s isn’t afraid to push himself outside of his comfort zone and his work ethic is nothing short of inspiring. Let’s keep pushing forward Tim!
