What a wonderful day. My heart is full! At VFW Smoky Mountain 1733 , we were able to surprise 5 Vietnam Veterans with quilts who have been longtime members and work hard to keep the VFW going.

This wouldn't be possible without the amazing Veterans who support my efforts to reach our Vets. My high school friend and USMC Bob Enfinger for donating his clothing, Joe Garner and The Herd CVMA 20-3 Pensacola FL for the US Navy uniforms, and Steve Holt for donating the Army clothing. I am so honored by your support and together we made 5 Veterans very happy. Thank you! ❤️

As we approach Christmas, I want to thank everyone who has entrusted me to design their unique heirloom quilt from their military uniforms this year. It is truly an honor! And to those generous souls who continue to donate to my Lapquilts for Veterans Project. You keep me going! I'm looking forward to 2026.

Below is my pricing, which has not changed in almost 2 years. I have added an upcharge to quilts which use materials such as polyester, rayon, etc. as these are more difficult to work with and take additional time.

For those on my waiting list, thank you so very much for your patience! I do not use a template as each quilt is inspired by your materials and each quilt is unique. I do not have a longarm machine nor do I send my quilts off to be longarm quilted. This keeps costs down but also takes more time to be completed. I quilt each square to make the designs and patterns "pop." Believe me, there is so much of my heart and gratitude in every quilt that I design and I do not rush because I want to honor your Service as best I can.

I've been told by nearly everyone who has ordered a quilt that I do not charge enough. Probably so, but my goal is that EVERY Veteran can afford to have a quilt made from their uniform materials. This is my passion and why I quilt.

My goal for 2026 is to also complete a large project of Lapquilts to donate to Veterans in local nursing homes. This is made possible from the proceeds of each quilt that I design and the amazing Veterans who continue to contribute. Donations are always welcome and very appreciated. Thank you!

And this incredible donation from Smoky Mountain VFW 1733 and Steve Holt aka Shady. Another amazing Vietnam Vet that I'm proud & honored to call my friend. I've cried some tears this morning going through both donations. Especially the older, very well-worn. It's an honor to be entrusted with these materials. I am very grateful. I think of the Vet whose clothes I'm holding and the Vet out there needing some TLC. Thank you so very much!

I was running low on USMC material and both donations more than helped! Please, if you know of a Veteran in need let me know. ALL donated material goes to creating Branch specific lap quilts to give to Veterans in need. 🇺🇸❤️💛🖤🇺🇸

Huge shout out to Joe Garner aka Freq! This USMC Vietnam Veteran is amazing. I can't put into words how grateful I am to him. Look at this huge donation he raised for my Lapquilts for Veterans! ALL of this material will be used to make and donate quilts for Vets in need. Freq has singlehandedly kept my project going with donations like this over the years. He is such an incredible man and always going the extra mile to help others. Thank you, Freq! And to those that donated their uniforms. Vets helping Vets ❤️💛🖤 Love you big 💕

What a fantastic time at the 32nd Annual Divers Recall! I'm very glad we were able to attend. It was wonderful seeing people I've designed quilts for as well as being there when this year's was won.

For those I have on my waiting list, I sincerely apologize as I'm a bit behind. My Dad was sick and placed on hospice, then passed away on August 2nd. I am back on track and currently finishing an order (which was for 2 quilts). I will reach out to you when it's close to time to send your materials.
