Monday,my favorite day of the week!
Yoga brings a clearer sense of self awareness, reduces stress, develops flexibility and strengthens the physical body (while healing emotional pain.) Come and make some new friends and rediscover who YOU are.
10am Chair Assisted Yoga: we start our practice, grounded in our seats, warming up the body. Soon we are on our feet practicing balancing poses, our “asanas”. Working to the peak of our class, the part of the class where we elevate the heart rate. Then the sweet surrender, cooling down back in our seats. Finally, we come to savasana, our final challenge: Can you calm your mind and your body to complete stillness? Some say this is the most challenging.
6:15pm-7:15, Mindful Movement Yoga: This is our beginner and intermediate class. Each pose, or asana, is offered in the simplest form, more complex form and the most challenging. This allows you to explore what your body is capable of. We learn the most about ourselves when we step off that safe ledge!
7:30pm-8:15, Aqua Yoga: We use the benefits of the water to help us balance and cushion any instability! We flow through about 30 balancing postures, strengthening our FOUNDATION: our feet, legs and hips. A strong foundation in your body leads to better balance and strong legs, leading to less falls and longer independence in your life!
