March 16th marked the beginning of National Healthcare HR Week, and to celebrate the dedication and hard work of HR professionals across Saber’s affiliated communities, we interviewed Amanda McBride from Sage Bluff Health & Rehab Center and Jennifer Coleman from Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

Our next Women of Whitestone Spotlight is Claire A. Claire was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she built a life rooted in love, dedication, devotion, and quiet strength. She married her first love and raised two children, giving her heart fully to her family while dedicating over 20 years of her life in administration at Victory Memorial Hospital.

She is someone who showed love in simple, meaningful ways, especially through cooking. She took pride in making Italian meals for her family and making sure everyone was taken care of.
Art was always important to her. She enjoyed painting and loved spending time with her cats, Honey and Champagne, who meant a lot to her.

Claire stayed active and involved throughout her Life. She worked as the secretary for Our Lady of the Lake in the Poconos and her daughter fondly recalled packing up boxes to go sell Tupperware for extra income.

At Whitestone Care Center, Claire continues doing what she enjoyed. She participates in cooking groups and creative arts programs.

Some people make a difference in every corner of our community, and today we want to shine a light on one of ours!

Heather, our incredible HR and payroll Coordinator at Whitestone, does so much more than her title could ever capture. From filling holes in the schedule to navigating the daily challenges of staffing, her role is anything but easy. It takes patience, dedication, and a whole lot of grit and heart and Heather shows up with all of that every single day.

Her organization and efficiency keep everything running smoothly. She supports our staff in ways that don't always get recognized, but are felt by everyone.

She plays a key role in welcoming new team members by running and organizing orientation classes through the standard process, helping set the tone for success from day one.

What truly makes Heather special is how present she is with everyone around her. Whether she's doing concierge rounds, passing trays with All Hands on Deck, or connecting with our residents, she goes above and beyond in every way.

Heather, we truly value you and everything you do for our team. Thank you for being such an important part of Whitestone!

Women of Whitestone Spotlight Donna M

Donna's story is one of resilience, faith, and a lifelong commitment to caring for others. Born and raised in New Jersey, she later made Pennsylvania her home, where she built a beautiful life with her husband John and raised five children, all while working at East Stroudsburg University.

Her faith has always been at the center of who she is. From serving as a youth director to participating in missionary work, card ministry, and visiting those in need, Donna has spent her life finding meaningful ways to uplift others.

Now at Whitestone Care Center, Donna continues to shine. She stays actively involved in planning activities with the Life Enrichment Department. She finds joy in being part of something that brings happiness and connection to others.

Her heart for service hasn't changed, and she hopes to continue her mission of helping others as long as she can. Donna is a beautiful reminder that purpose doesn't retire, it only grows stronger.

Women of Whitestone Spotlight: Maria R

Maria was born and raised in Stroudsburg, PA. She earned her degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from East Stroudsburg University before moving to Phoenix Arizona, where she dedicated her career to helping others.

For over 15 years, Maria worked as both a K-12 educator and a case manager with Child Protective Services, making a lasting impact in the lives of countless children. She later returned to Pennsylvania to care for her parents and has since retired. Maria reflects on her journey with gratitude, finding joy and fulfillment in knowing she made a meaningful difference doing what she loved most, supporting and uplifting children.

Eid is a special holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world, marking the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, spiritual growth and community. It's a time centered on gratitude, generosity, and being close to the people that matter most.

One of the ways people share in the joy is by saying "Eid Mubarak", which simply means "blessed Eid" or wishing someone a joyful holiday.

A big thank you to our hospitality aide Aleena for sharing your sweets with us. We are grateful to have gotten a glimpse of that spirit today. Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating

Yesterday we were blessed with the two cutest leprechauns this side of the rainbow!

Our DON and one of our sweetest residents showed up dressed in full St. Patty’s spirit spreading luck, laughter, and enough smiles to light up the whole building.

Moments like these remind us how special our little community truly is. The joy, the connection, the pure silliness, it’s what makes every day feel a little more magical.
