To help every person reach their vision potential and to lift barriers to quality vision care.

Sight for All United’s (SFAU) mission is to lift barriers to quality vision care. By envisioning a world in which every person is able to reach their fullest vision potential, SFAU, since its founding in 2016, has helped over 5,000 people receive eye exams, glasses, contacts, and surgeries through its Vision Van, low vision support, and medical referral programs.

At SFAU, our mission is to help every person reach their full vision potential by lifting barriers to care. We identify obstacles, design scalable solutions, and provide access to eye exams, corrective lenses, and medical/surgical treatment. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration with partners, we work to build healthier communities and expand affordable, sustainable vision care for all.

Honoring 200 years of Braille: Louis Braille’s 1825 breakthrough continues to empower literacy, access, and inclusion worldwide.

Braille was born January 4, 1809, and invented the tactile six-dot writing system as a teenager in Paris after losing his sight in early childhood. His innovation laid the foundation for accessible communication for the blind and visually impaired.

The year 2025 marks the 200th anniversary of Braille’s invention.
