Latest update from the City of Stuart...
POST-HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE #1 - Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024 - 12:15 p.m.
If possible, avoid US 1. Many traffic lights have no power. Lights out at Wright Blvd and US1; and West Ocean and US1.
Garbage pickup will resume tomorrow.
Crews will begin picking up vegetation beginning Saturday.
City offices are closed today, however, if your grinder system needs power, notify the city at (772) 288-5317, choose OPTION 3.
ROAD CLOSURES:
(1) Partial closure of Confusion Corner due to low power line.
(2) Osceola 400 & 500 block due to large, downed tree.
REPORTED DAMAGES:
(1) All railroad crossing arms damaged. FEC has been notified.
(2) Multiple power lines and poles are down or broken.
(3) Sunset Bay Marina: one boat sunk, one boat loose and pushed against private dock. City of Stuart Public Safety boat lift damaged.
