Safety is not a bonus in therapy, it’s the foundation.
When someone realizes they don’t have to explain who they are in order to be helped, something shifts. The nervous system softens. The room gets quieter. Healing becomes possible.
Representation isn’t about perfect identity matching.
It’s about cultural humility, curiosity over assumption, and creating a space where people don’t have to shrink, perform, or self-translate just to be understood.
If therapy has ever felt like it “wasn’t for you,” it may not be because you failed at healing, it may be because the space wasn’t safe enough to hold your full experience.
In uncertain times, feeling seen is not a luxury. It’s a prerequisite for healing. Find your person.
