One of the most powerful moments when we visit schools isn’t the film presentation itself, it’s what happens during the Q&A time after.
At a recent assembly at Flanagan High School, a student raised her hand and shared something incredibly honest. She talked about feeling like life can become a cycle… waking up, going through the motions, and sometimes just not feeling happy. 😞
So many teens carry these feelings silently. They assume they’re the only one struggling, the only one feeling disconnected, the only one lying awake at night wondering if something is wrong with them.
And when a student is brave enough to say it out loud, something shifts in the room.
You can almost feel the relief.
The message we want every student to walk away with is simple but powerful:
You are not alone. 🤝
I’m always so grateful for the courage of students who speak up in these moments. Their honesty helps someone else in that room realize they’re not alone either.
And that’s where real conversations, real intervention and real hope, begin. ❤️
