Sleep problems – including insomnia, frequent or early waking, and unrefreshing sleep – are typical in long COVID because the hypothalamic circuit breaker controls sleep. Some things to know:

1- Getting good sleep is critical to healing. But long COVID can cause insomnia.
2- Start with good sleep hygiene and an enjoyable and calming bedtime routine.
