The COMPACT Act went into effect across the U.S. in January 2023. This Act allows all honorably discharged Veterans who are experiencing a suicidal crisis to go to any mental healthcare facility for no-cost treatment. Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those lost to overdose and raise awareness about the devastating impact of substance misuse. By fostering compassion, education and support, we can make a difference and save lives.
According to the American College Health Association, over three-quarters (76 percent) of college students reported experiencing a moderate to high level of stress within the past 30 days. Among college students seeking treatment, the top concerns include anxiety, stress, depression, family issues and academic performance.
At Coral Shores, we understand the pressures today’s college students face. That’s why we offer multiple levels of care tailored to their needs: from inpatient crisis stabilization and detox to intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs that offer flexible in-person, hybrid and virtual options.

Coral Shores Behavioral Health, an inpatient mental health facility in Stuart, Fla., treats seniors and adults with mental health and/or drug addiction issues.
Our professionals take a multi-disciplinary approach to all treatment services, using “best practices” as a guide to assessing, treating and caring for the individuals in which we support. The multidisciplinary treatment team will assess each referral and determine the most appropriate course of treatment for each patient and helps to coordinate the next supportive steps after a patient’s discharge.
