The 2025-2026 flu season in the U.S. is experiencing one of the highest levels of activity in over 25 years, characterized by a rapid surge of a particularly aggressive influenza A (H3N2) strain.

Symtoms include sudden onset fever, severe fatigue, body aches, and cough.

Avoid contact with people that are sick, cover your sneeze and cough, wash and sanitize your hands, avoid touching your face, and stay home when sick (until your fever is gone for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medicine).

Tuesday, January 27th Caring Hearts will be CLOSED due to incliment weather. Patients that have an appointment scheduled will need to call the clinic to reschedule their appointment if they have not been previously contacted. A virtual visit is possible if needed.

Please stay warm and safe! We hope to be back in the office Wedensday for calls or questions, but will post here if we are unable to be.

CARING HEARTS FREE CLINIC INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO JONES & DESHON ORTHODONTICS AND RVO ROANOKE VALLEY ORTHODONTICS (DR. DAVID L. JONES) FOR GENEROUS $15,000 DONATION

Caring Hearts Free Clinic is overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of Jones & DeShon Orthodontics and Roanoke Valley Orthodontics for their generous donation of $6,000 in support of our mission to provide free medical care to uninsured individuals in our community! This donation will soon be followed by more in 2026 to meet a $15,000 commitment by Dr. David L. Jones (Roanoke Valley Orthodontics) and Dr. David Jones and Dr. Nicole DeShon (Jones & DeShon Orthodontics)!

This meaningful contribution will help Caring Hearts continue serving patients who are medically uninsured, ensuring access to compassionate, high quality healthcare at no cost to those who need it most.

ATTENTION Caring Hearts patients:

With the closing of Spring Drug, please contact the free clinic by the end of the day on Thursday, December 18th, if you need a medication refill. We will need to transfer your prescription to Walmart in Stuart. The free clinic will be closed for two weeks and will not be able to refill prescriptions during that time.
