Let’s talk about filler migration 👄
Dermal filler migration happens when filler moves from the original placement area into surrounding tissue. This is most common in the lips, but it can also happen in the cheeks or jawline. When it occurs, it can create a “duck-like” appearance in the lips or make the face look heavy or puffy in areas like the jaw and cheeks.

Overfilling or layering filler on top of filler
Incorrect placement

Let’s Talk About Bruising ✨
Bruising after injectable treatments (Botox®, Dysport®, dermal fillers, or PDO threads) is completely normal and can happen to anyone. A bruise does not mean your injector did a poor job. In fact, you might not bruise for several treatments and then suddenly bruise on your 10th — it’s simply how the body responds.
💜 Why bruises happen:
Tiny blood vessels sit just beneath the skin, and sometimes the needle or cannula can bump one.
Everyone’s anatomy is different — some people bruise often, some rarely.
Medications, supplements, or even lifestyle factors can make bruising more likely.
🌸 Bruising does not equal a bad outcome.
Your results will still develop beautifully as the bruise heals.
💡 Tips to minimize bruising:
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements (like fish oil or vitamin E) for a few days before treatment, if possible.
Use arnica or bromelain to support healing.
Apply a cold compress after treatment.

One of the most common misconceptions we hear is that Botox (and similar neurotoxins like Dysport and Xeomin) will keep the forehead perfectly smooth and tight for the entire 3-month lifespan of the product. While the product does remain active in the body for around 12 weeks, the aesthetic appearance it gives begins to gradually wear off much sooner—typically around the 7 to 8-week mark.
🔍 Here’s why:
✔️ Proper Dosing Matters
If you received the recommended dose during your appointment, you can expect results to hold well through the 7-8 week window. However, if a lighter dose was used—either by choice or due to other factors—you may notice movement returning sooner.
