Due to unforeseen logistical challenges, we are canceling our annual spring cleanup day that was scheduled for later this month.

Hopefully, you will all be able to join us in our fall cleanup day the last Saturday in October

We are very proud to partner with our friends at the LIVIN Foundation to host the Second Annual Dad’s Retreat.

Listen to LIVIN co-founder, Paul Thomas share the power of retreats for dad’s that have lost a child to su***de.

The LIVIN Foundation is working to change the conversation around mental health, highlighted each year by its annual music festival. Co-founder PT joins us to share more about the mission and the organization’s retreats supporting adults grieving the loss of a loved one to su***de.

I know we are all buckled in for the Snowstorm of the year…but don’t forget that “Spring Clean Up Day” at Northwoods is ONLY 6 weeks away!

9:00 - 2:00, Saturday, April 25th is the date and WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!

Lots of different projects this spring….

Construction stuff (railings on playhouse, firewood shelter)

Yard Stuff (retaining wall, outdoor furniture, wood splitting, deck staining)

Trail stuff (clean trails, spread wood chips, prepare memorial benches)

Plus all sorts of general cleaning!

As usual, the Face It Moms will be there to help serve lunch and provide an endless amount of encouragement!

WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP…and it’s fun!

If you can help out, please contact Bill Dehkes and let him know you can make it so they can plan tasks and food!

Northwoods wants you to mark Saturday, April 25th as “Busy”.

Spend the day with us getting Northwoods ready for another season of fun and powerful retreats.

Did you know that Face It - Northwoods is not just for men that attend our support groups?

Recently a group of Face It Moms spent a weekend at the retreat center.

Not only did they cook, eat, laugh and enjoy friendship together....they even made time for a unique project.

They spent part of their weekend making hand made stamped cards...lots of them! They all took time to write supportive notes in all of them. They were all stored in a beautiful wicker box set in the middle of the dining room table.

Since that weekend, many men using Northwoods have read those notes and they have inspired many impactful conversations.

Face It - Northwoods has been a powerful place for many people and will continue to be for years to come.
