Northwoods wants you to mark Saturday, April 25th as “Busy”.

Spend the day with us getting Northwoods ready for another season of fun and powerful retreats.

Did you know that Face It - Northwoods is not just for men that attend our support groups?

Recently a group of Face It Moms spent a weekend at the retreat center.

Not only did they cook, eat, laugh and enjoy friendship together....they even made time for a unique project.

They spent part of their weekend making hand made stamped cards...lots of them! They all took time to write supportive notes in all of them. They were all stored in a beautiful wicker box set in the middle of the dining room table.

Since that weekend, many men using Northwoods have read those notes and they have inspired many impactful conversations.

Face It - Northwoods has been a powerful place for many people and will continue to be for years to come.

Give to the Max Day is coming up and we need your help! The funds raised this year will be dedicated to replace the old siding on our building. It’s a HUGE project (25k) that will take place in March.

At this past Saturday, Fall Clean Up Day 2025 was a big success

Projects done:

Leaves Cleared
Lawn mowed
Hoses and furniture put away
Back wall of the playhouse replaced and painted
Inside of playhouse painted
Playhouse deck boards all replaced
North garden cut back
East and South garden cleared
Firewood stacked
Main trails cleared
39 yards of wood chips spread out on trails
3 LARGE truck loads of brush collected to be hauled away

BUT….what we also heard was….

“I haven’t laughed like this in forever”
“I met so many wonderful people”
“I learned so much about construction from the leaders”
“This is something I want to make sure I do each spring and fall going forward”
“I want my wife to experience this stuff next time”
“It wasn’t really work…it was just fun”
“I am now a chili fan”

This really is the power of Face It Foundation….its more than raking leaves or stacking firewood…its being with people and making new friends!!!!!

What an amazing “Fall Clean Up Day”! 35 hardworking volunteers showed up early this morning and kicked up all day long!

38 yards of wood chips spread on the trails, flower beds cleaned out, playhouse got painted inside and out plus got a new deck. Lawn mowed, firewood stacked and brush piled up.

Northwoods wouldn’t survive without all these amazing volunteers!
