Yesterday was my last day serving families in our little Amish community. I’ve been so blessed by the people here.

Mothers from a culture that piques curiosity and is often misunderstood have welcomed me into their homes in one of the most sacred times of their lives.

I have watched nervous first-time moms become confident, seasoned moms of three. I have had 5th time moms tell me they learned something new. I have marveled at the new life in the pasture and at home simultaneously. I have witnessed tears of defeat and exhaustion, and tears of joy and accomplishment. I have walked with women through dark times, and I have seen women come out the other side stronger, braver, and more confident.

I am so thankful to have been part of their lives. I never thought we would leave this place, but sometimes God calls us elsewhere. I am so sad to be leaving, but I am also excited for this next great adventure.

Home visits will be available soon in the greater Indianapolis area. Follow for updates!

Did you know that your health insurance might cover your visit cost 100%?! Around 90% of our clients receive insurance covered lactation support.

We are in network with most major insurance companies and their subsidiaries. We have also had success billing out of network to help you receive reimbursement.

If you have:

- UHC
- UMR
- Aetna
- Meritain
- Anthem
- Blue Cross Blue Shield

then you most likely have lactation benefits.

💙 Finding out that you have a child with special needs can be overwhelming. You may have the best medical team and the most supportive family, but sometimes you may still feel that no one else really understands your situation.

Finding a group of people who are walking in your shoes can be a blessing, and can help bridge that gap between the medical and emotional needs!

✨ Join our Moms' Group for mothers of children with special needs.
Meets the first Saturday of every other month from 8-10 am at the Community Health Clinic in Shipshewana.

30 minutes into a new course, and Rachel O'Brien, IBCLC is already filling my cup.

Often, I have families say they’re hesitant to see me because they are not breastfeeding. That’s OK! Families who need help with infant feeding should seek out the support of a lactation consultant.

Why?

Because IBCLCs are the clinical experts in infant feeding. We are here to offer clinical assessment and practical tools for you to help improve your baby’s feeding skills.

So excited about this course!

One of my favorite events of the year!
The Miracle of Motherhood Seminar is every year in March. Women from our community plan this event based on topics that are requested by moms. They contact and recruit professionals to bring accurate information to empower and encourage women in motherhood. Topics this year include baby’s position in pregnancy and delivery, brain development, genetics, introducing solids, finding joy in motherhood, and a testimony of God’s goodness in motherhood. There is music and fellowship and good food.
We are blessed to have such a dedicated team to organize this yearly!
