The first step in creating many herbal products is infusing the oils. I mostly choose an organic virgin olive oil and organic dried calendula flowers.
Put dried flowers in mason jar and saturate with oil, filling close to top with about an inch head room. Place jar in pan with water and heat very low for a minimum of 45 minutes. Periodically push down herbs as they tend to float. Remove and let sit until cooled and cover with lid. Shake it up daily and after several days, the oil will be brighter; at which time, use a strainer to remove the herbs while collecting the infused oil in a clean mason jar. ❤️

Now that my travels have ended for a couple months … In the next 2 weeks, I will be making my coconut-vanilla scented all natural, homemade small batch body butter. Excellent for super dry skin. Let me know if you want some!

As the seasons ebb and flow so do my activities and interests. The past few months of summer my focus has been on establishing my gardens and chickens. Hence the absence of online activity. Soon I will be replenishing my herbal products! ❤️
